Lafayette Anticipations wishes you a year full of discoveries
Exhibitions, festivals, gatherings, discover the programme for an unforgettable year!
The year 2026 promises to be full of discoveries! The Fondation welcomes you until 8 February for the final weeks of the exhibitions by Meriem Bennani and Steffani Jemison. On 20 and 21 February, our Closer Music festival renews its ambition, for its 8th edition, to unveil the great musical talents of today and tomorrow, with a focus on the emerging London scene. In the spring, be surprised and transported by the exhibition by Diego Marcon, which transforms the Fondation into a cinema designed according to the architectural principles of Italian theatre, and that of Ladji Diaby, who presents a new installation that mixes traces of pop culture iconography and ritual relics. In October, make way for the exhibition by painter Yu Nishimura. Not to mention the Échelle Humaine festival in September, dedicated to dance and performance. See you soon at the Fondation, where many surprises await you for an unforgettable year!
Meriem Bennani
Steffani Jemison
until 8 February 2026
For her solo exhibition Sole crushing, Meriem Bennani stages a monumental orchestra and transforms the Fondation into a vast sound box. Spanning the entire height of the building, the sound installation brings together nearly two hundred flip-flops and tap shoes that play a musical composition by Reda Senhaji (Cheb Runner) at the crossroads of a symphony and an uprising.

In her solo exhibition clear skies / troubled water, Steffani Jemison explores the winds of revolt and the ebb and flow of repression through the prism of natural phenomena (eclipses, wind currents, variations in light and gravity). The artist explores flight as a creative and political gesture: a way of inventing new coordinates, improvising new forms of presence and charting futures that the body can sustain.
Festival Closer Music
20 & 21 February 2026
For its eighth edition, Closer Music welcomes a selection of international artists from independent and experimental scenes, with a special focus this year on the emerging London scene.
